A fight for Life.
Dana Marshall Cook, began an illustrious career in advertising & marketing, many years ago, when dreams seemed possible. A few short years ago, reality set in, & dreams were shattered….Dana was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She approaches life with an unbiased exuberance. Dana is extremely creative with an amazing sense of humor even when facing life’s greatest challenges. She is a young single mom, loved by many, not only fighting for her life, but to see her 16 year-old son, Sammy, graduate high school and hopefully much more. The relationship and bond they share is something very special to witness.
Unfortunately, after several lengthy hospital stays this past year, we have learned that the disease has progressed to a point (stage IV---where it has spread to her spine/bones, making it difficult for her to walk), where she is no longer a candidate for traditional treatment.
There is one treatment, however, which has a proven success rate, and even after a few weeks, signs of hope have emerged. While initially blessed with funding, it has come to an abrupt halt with no forewarning, throwing her treatment and hope into a tailspin. Without financial assistance, she will no longer be able to continue down this path of hope and her chances for survival have been severely threatened. Upon much research, we believe this is Danas’ only chance at life. The treatment combines conventional chemotherapy with other less invasive methods. Dana has been able to cope with the treatment, however is not covered by insurance.
One of the things Dana has always been stellar at is creating events, with charitable collaboration. This has been a passion of hers. Now, unfortunately, Dana, her son, and sister, are requesting your tax deductible charitable contribution, to quite virtually assist at any chance in saving her life. We are seeking any assistance through the use of this site----with the advantage of a tax benefit to anyone that can contribute. Please Help us, help her.
