Dear Friends:

Your donation is completely tax-deductible through this nonprofit organization - and goes directly towards my treatment.

Ramona Huls and Bob Martinez were married in the year 2005. Ramona was diagnosed with breast cancer right around that August time frame. The doctor in attendance, immediately started recommending double mastectomy, radiation and chemotherapy. His bedside manner, and scare tactics, drove us away from accepting all the traditional treatments.

Ramona decided to fight: with my support, Ramona began seeking alternative treatments. She studied many alternatives, tried many diets and natural supplements. To this day, I can't tell you all the different rain forest products she has gone through. During those early days, after the diagnosis, she read day and night, made phone calls to Europe, Mexico, and all over the United States. At one point she knew she was loosing the battle with the use of supplements. she decided to seek the support of a doctor specializing in alternative treatments.

Over the last four years, Ramona has been treated in Florida, Mexico, and Ecuador. After several thousands of dollars, and much disappointment, she gave up on doctors specializing in alternative treatments. They did not work for her. After the failure of alternative treatments, to arrest the breast cancer, Ramona switched her focus to "Chemotherapy." She is now under the care of a doctor in Tijuana, Mexico. This doctor is using a very special treatment.

Dr. Donato Perez-Garcia, better known as, Dr. Donato, is providing the medical treatment called, "Targeted Low Dose with Insulin Response Modification," (TLDCI), or IPT (Insulin Potentiation Therapy). IPT, is not an alternative treatment. It is low dose conventional Chemotherapy. The IPT treatment was developed by Dr. Donato's grandfather, and practiced by Dr, Donato's father as well.

After the first 3 treatments, in May of 2009, we saw a 7% reduction in the breast tumor. Ramona has now seen much more improvement, and is scheduled for treatment #13.

Ramona’s schedule includes a round trip flight from Orlando, Florida, to San Diego, California. In San Diego, she makes the trek across the Mexican boarder on a weekly basis. At times she has not been able to return from San Diego, because of treatment or health concerns. During her trips home, to Orlando, Ramona works at Winnie Palmer hospital as a nurse. She needs to keep this rigorous schedule, as we do not have health insurance.

For almost five years, Ramona has remained positive. The financial contributions from friends, and relatives, have shown her much love. Her response to the chemotherapy, and the contributions coming in; have given us, and especially Ramona, the courage and encouragement to fight on. We are now at our ropes end. I am unemployed, and going to nursing school, with the hope of getting a lasting job. Our family and friends have been very helpful, but we can’t do it alone. We would be very appreciative for any help you could provide. Thank you for all for the love, respectfully, Robert Martinez
