Hello, I am 55 years young and was diagnosed with Follicular Lymphoma in Oct. 08. I am currently taking the conventional high-dose Chemotherapy, which is very hard on me. It puts me down for at least 3 to 5 days after I take it. I get it every 3 weeks, but it is doing damage to my vital organs and my immune system, not to mention my emotions and quality-of-life. One of the Chemos (I take 4 different types), is very hard on my heart, and they are all very hard on my kidneys. I dread going for more high-dose treatments, as I know how bad I will feel and how much it is damaging my body. IPT Targeted LowDose Chemotherapy is my goal. It has been used successfully on cancer since the 40s. It is the same chemo as high-dose, but it targets the cancer cells instead of the good cells. Unfortunately, my insurance wont cover it and I have used up my savings. I would love to take the IPT Targeted LowDose Chemotherapy which is so much better than the high-dose type. IPT Targeted LowDose targets the cancer cells but protects my good cells, and I would take much less Chemo with this new treatment (about 1/10 of the dose each time). I would also be able to drive myself to and from the treatments. Currently, I have to rely on my family for my transportation to and from Chemo rounds, as I am unable to drive home afterwards.
