My life has been devoted to the following goals: To provide, promote, support and facilitate programs that enhance the artistic, educational, therapeutic, healing, and spiritual development of individuals, families and communities. I have tried to accomplish this through my work as an international opera singer, meditation instructor and counselor; a tour manager and cruise director, and author, voice teacher, a pranic healer and sound healer. I made my Metropolitan Opera debut in 1987, and until 1995 I performed with:

In May, 2008 I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. On June 30, 2008 I had a radical hysterectomy, and during the operation the surgeon discovered a large tumor that was sitting on top of my diaphragm. Because the lining of my abdomen was wrapped around the tumor, the mass was not seen on any of the scans that had been done prior to my surgery. I feel very fortunate that my surgeon found and removed that tumor along with the ovarian masses. Following my surgery he told me that he believes he "got" all the cancer. He said that since my overall health is so good, and because I maintain a very strong and positive attitude, he feels that I have an excellent chance of survival if I do follow-up treatments. I feel very well now, and I am optimistic that, with the help of loving friends and benefactors, I will return to the concert stage, offering my songs to each and every one of you for generously opening your heart and gifting me with the funds necessary to insure that I receive the follow-up treatment and care that I need for a full recovery.
